Jared Couvillon

Opportunity Development Manager
Born and raised here in Houston, TX. I graduated from Houston Baptist in Feb 2001 with a Business and Marketing degree. From there I taught at a private Christian school in Kingwood, TX for about 5 years.

After this school closed down, I decided to use my business degree and was eventually hired on here at GWI. I love building relationships with many of our customers and it fascinates me that I get to talk with people of all cultures all over the world every day. This industry literally brings people all over the world together. What I’ve loved the most about the culture here at Gulf Winds is the heart to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and see and experience the Kingdom of God come here on earth.

How you did you get into this line of work?

The school I was working at closed down. I then was selling insurance door to door and found myself desiring to do anything else! That’s when I was introduced to GWI and came in for an interview. They decided to take a chance on me and I’ve appreciated it ever since.

If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen before, what would you paint?

Watching my wife walk down the aisle to meet me at the alter

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

I used to save up my money as a kid so I could buy Garbage Pail Kids.

What is one goal you’d like to accomplish during your lifetime?

My wife and I have a goal to visit one vineyard/winery on every continent together, minus Antarctica, unless this “Global Warming” continues, then we just might put that one back on the list.

For your great great grandchildren reading to this years from now: is there any wisdom you’d want to pass on to them?

Don’t eat the yellow snow!
